Hue is well regarded for its culturaly significant buildings, dating back to the last famous Nguyen dynasty, and having been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It plays a significant role in both the ancient and modern history of Vietnam. With a blend of modern hotels and ancient attractions, you will find this town an interesting mix of old and new.
Our driver and tour guide pick you up at 8:00AM at your hotel in Da Nang. On the way to Hue you will visit Hai Van Pass (Sea Cloud Pass – where the ocean meets the clouds), Climbing 500m above the sea level the Hai Van Pass is one of the most scenic hillside roads in the world, not only Viet Nam. Your tour guide will give you lots of interesting history about the Hai Van Pass.The photo opportunities are truly amazing.

1/ Visit The Citadel: The former capital of Viet Nam from 1802 to 1945 under the control of famous Nguyen’s Dynasty. Your local guide will give you a deep understanding about the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple city and the Emperor’s Private Residence. Have lunch in the local restaurant.
2/ Thien Mu Pagoda: It was the oldest pagoda in Viet Nam and was built in 1061. You will hear the most interesting legend story about the pagoda and you will also have the chance to see the old car of the famous monk Thich Quang Duc, who burnt himself to protest the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government led by the President Ngo Dinh Diem.
3/ Tu Duc Tomb: You will visit one of most beautiful works of royal architecture of Nguyen’s Dynasty. It is called Tu Duc Tomb or Khai Dinh Tomb, with many buildings constructed for his wives and many other reasons. Its construction started in December 1864 and finished in 1867.
